NUT UPS Support list…
-
Hey guys…
I have my Firewall and the rest of the networking hardware on 1 UPS... HP R5500XR
I tried a few things last night with no luck. I keep getting DATA STALE.
Looked to see if the UPS is supported and it is in the original NUT package, but its missing in this package so i used to 3000XR instead. As not being sure if its the driver or something else. i tried a mirage of ports with no luck :/
Input please

Your ups managment is on usb or serial ? if you have serial it should work on serial port, mine is working like that after several tryes on usb…with no succes but on serial it worked ! serial port should be cuau0...to me for example is working with the right model or with other models from other mustek manufacturer(i have the powermust usb 600)...try it on serial !
All the best

Same message about Data Stale - but trying to connect to a APC3000 supporting the whole rack - using SNMP v1 over the network

Very surprised - I loaded NUT at approx 08:00 BST and it is now 13:55 BST - I had given up on NUT getting anything other than Data Stale - it has now connected! Just under 6 hours to first connect - be ineteresting to see how often it refreshes!

for me it wont even start the service…
im on 2.1 on the latest snapshot -
It works fine on 2.1, I fixed it up and tested it with a USB APC model I have. At least it works for USB anyhow, if you have serial I'm not sure what might not be right there. But that's a topic for another thread, really.

Using SNMP to connect - it now updates perfectly - just bl..dy slow on first update???

FYI, the nut package 2.2.2_6 pkg 1.4 it's working fine with serial interface wired to a mustek ups, selected model is not very important only port…

Would be great if this could somehow be upgraded to consider a laptop's battery as a UPS, since in a way, it is.
And an older laptop still makes a great pfSense server…

im up on the latest release and Nut wont start even after several attempts…
However I changed from USB to Serial and Service started.
It looks like it was caused by "AUTO" setting -

However I changed from USB to Serial and Service started.
It looks like it was caused by "AUTO" settingA bunch of packages seem to require that their settings be saved after an upgrade unless settings are saved again.
Thus: does it stop working if you go back to the AUTO setting? Just curious… -
I was using the usb to serial adapter as it wasn't refreshing the data and it was displaying "data stale" but then went back to serial.
However…
The commited changes from USB to Serial took place but they weren't transfered to the update and defaulted back into "auto" mode
