      Hi all

I am trying to replace my ISP's supplied router for a Internet / IPTV service I'm subscribed to.  (their router hangs under heavy load)

It is a 100Mbit  up/down fiber connection, so that is fine, and they use VLANs  to segment the traffic.

On my pfSense box, I created 2 VLANS,  10 for internet, and 20 for IPTV.
Internet interface gets assigned an IP via DHCP without issues, and everything is fine.

IPTV is a problem though, others have found out it requires the IP Option 802.1p to be set to 4 (Video), otherwise there will be no DHCP Offer.

I tried setting a rule for all traffic on the IPTV interface to be tagged as such, but I have no idea if what I am doing is correct, or if it is even possible under pfSense.

      Any help would be great

      cheers!

We need to have our vlan patches sorted, and that includes 802.1p.

He's back from vacation next week at it's earliest.

          Ahh… that's good to hear.

          Thanks for the heads up.

            Hi,

Has this issue been fixed? or is in the works?

            Thanks
