Was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to generate an email and/or Growl notification whenever pfsense marks a WAN down on a muliwan setup. I know its not possible within the GUI, but i was thinking in maybe using a custom way via conf files within ssh

      Thanks,
      Jabroni

Actually if you have SMTP notifications setup it already does send you an e-mail when a gateway is marked down.
Not sure about growl though, but I thought it did. (If not in 2.0.x, it does in 2.1)

pfsense's growl is notifying me if one of GWs in a group is down.

Yes, it only notifies when it goes down.
