Like I have not have done it already…. But I don't know exactly whether the new generation Core i3-i5-i7 is supported (and the fusion of AMD). I do not know if I need to look into it further than just the processor and LAN chips to know if Pfsense can run on it.

I always think you are better with a stable hardware than a performant one… you can look about server motherboards with standard network cards or used business routers on eBay like the WatchGuard Firebox X5000-X8000 that works perfectly! We always want the hardware has maintenance free as possible, CF card instead of HD etc. Less power consumption is also nice.

I get you point, but I have at the moment a draytek 2920 and it is crazy. The VPN is slow, it get Stuck 3 times a week.
I do not buy on ebay.
So i want to know if pfsense can run on the above components.
I use the VPN to stream 720p through it (the Draytek can't do this). So i want a better performing VPN. Also i want more options and alot more speed whit indeed stable running.

There should be no issues running those hardware. There are users already using the 2nd generation Core-i platforms without issues. The onboard 82574L is very well supported as are most of the PT series adapters with the exception of the quad port.
I vaguely remember some users reporting issues with the PT quad port but that was on the older release. Not sure if there are newer drivers that fix it.

It should work fine if you are not using the Intel raid modes (AHCI should work fine) or using the drive on newer SATA3 controllers (such as Marvel 91xx) that come with some of these boards.

To be 100% sure is the controller intel I350, Intel 82576(is supported), Intel 82580(only whit a driver from intel??) supported to?

From what I've read here in the forums and if IIRC. The I350 and 82580 should/might work in 2.1. But the 82576 is supported in 2.0. I'm using the Intel Gigabit ET2 Quad Port Server Adapter[1], which uses the 82576. Working fine here on 2.0.
