Nanobsd / SD-card optimizations for installed pfSense?
-
If not using the nanobsd image to install, how can I make sure pfSense doesn't write logs etc. immediately to USB-Sticks / SD-Cards, therefore apply the optimizations included in the nanobsd images manually? Thanks :-)

the NanoBSD system is completely laid out differently to make that happen. There's no way to (effectively) turn a full install into a NanoBSD install short of actually installing NanoBSD and restoring your config there.

thank you jimp, the main reason I wanted to installed the normal version is the raid support (raid 1 using two usb sticks). any way to get raid 1 from the nanobsd install?

Not easily, no.
Even if you could do a gmirror setup by hand (check the doc wiki) it would break the assumptions in the NanoBSD code about the system slice names and such.
