What is the IP address and network mask of the LAN interface on your pfSense?

What is the network mask, IP adress and default gateway IP address on your computer that "can't access the internet"?

Could be NAT not working. Commonly this is caused by having the same subnet on WAN and LAN.

subnets are different on wan and lan, i'm pulling the same subnet on my pc via dhcp as the lan is setup. For example WAN is pulling 192.168.1.1 from the dsl modem, and lan is setup as 192.168.2.3….i get the 192.168.2.* on my laptop but it seems like it just dont want to pass through.

Your client machines are receiving the correct gateway information?

Your install is otherwise stock? You haven't altered the NAT config at all?

Do you have Block Private Networks enabled?
