Currently using a Net 2 Net IPSec VPN with IPCop on both sides.  However I like the functionality of PFSense better and plan to switch to it… But...

One end of my connection is on a static IP and the remote end is stuck on Dynamic IP DSL.  (Verizon REFUSES to sell us Static IP service!)

Now IPCop does handle this just fine.  You have to use DynDNS for the dynamic side.  And you fill in a local and remote ID so it uses that instead of the IP address as a ID....  Either side can actually initiate the connection.  The connection is also configured to never go down even if there is no traffic.

My question is will PFSense work with the same setup?

See http://pfsense.com/mirror.php?section=tutorials/mobile_ipsec/ how to set this up.

No, one of the sites has to be static at least.
