      Hi there,

I had one situation in our customers place where we needed to grow network for one week.
They are using watchguard and it was doable(lucky me), so only had to change interface ip-address from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.0.1 and change subnet mask from /24 to /22
and after that we added three extra pools.

I'd like to see if pfsense is capable of doing this so we may able to change this lilred box to real hardware.

There is only one pool per interface (currently, though that may change for 2.1).

Usually just increasing the subnet mask, as you have done, to make the subnet larger, is enough, then you can just make the pool much larger. (Say, from 0.10-2.250).

Why do you need three separate pools? Are the IP blocks for DHCP not contiguous inside of that larger subnet?

Reason was that it's not continous, in normal situation were having 192.168.2.0 /24 and some lowend devices has their management interfaces in same block like .2-60.
That client has no vlans at all, but i'm not in such position that i could say something about it.

OK, so you should have been able to do that with two pools, .0.2-.1.255 may have been enough IPs for them for now.

Yes it could have been done with those two pools. But as you said maybe in 2.1 it would be possible

Yeah, the underlying software supports it, we just don't have any code in the GUI to do that. I thought there was a ticket in redmine marked "future" for that but now I don't see it at the moment.
