Where's the pig?

Hi,
first of all thank you for restoring Snort!!I just installed the snort package on the latest build (2.0-RC3 (i386) built on Tue Aug 2 05:38:08 EDT 2011), but I can't find the "snort" menu or the snort service nowhere… I reinstalled the package more than once to be sure, it appears in the installed packages, but I still can't find it...
Am I too anxious to have it back and I am installing it too early or it's an unknown problem?
Thanks a lot,
Michele -
Under services, at least i had just above UPNP…

mmhhh… thank you for your answer... now I know I have a problem, because I really don't have that... I also reinstalled the gui components, but it's still not there... :S
Also the service is not in the service list (status=>services)... :(

Do an update with one of the pfSense updates from snapshot than try to reinstall it.
Something wrong with your install. -

Something wrong with your install.mmhhh… I did right now (full pfSense update with successful reinstall of all the packages), but still didn't work... I will try tomorrow morning to uninstall and reinstall the single package...
Thanks a lof for now!

I just installed yesterday few seconds before posting. Maybe i was lucky to get that working version straight away

Ok, somehow I solved it…
After this morning's update and reinstall of the package, the menù and service was still not there.
Since I have two pfSense machines (the primary is stuck on the updates before the Snort retire and update) I could compare the config files to see what was wrong...
In config.xml of the secondary machine there were missing:
Node Service
, ...
Node Menu
, ...I just added those two items, and now everything is working... if you need to investigate on why the package installer was unable to add this two nodes in the config files I can send the log files or all the info you need...
Thanks a lot,
Michele
