Is it possible to setup pfSense with only one ethernet port (Internet In/WAN connection) and a PCIe wireless NIC (LAN connections) or do I have to have a second ethernet port then set my wireless NIC as the optional connection?

      Thanks, James.

You can do one wired, though that will require some hacking to get setup initially since wireless configuration isn't possible at the console and you have to get into the web interface to do the initial setup. assigning a fake VLAN as WAN and the actual NIC as LAN, then configuring the wireless, and re-assigning the interfaces properly, would work.

That's sounds like a plan!  I'll try it out later to see if I can get it working.

          Thanks for the reply :)
