DualWAN + VPN or Proxy or Tunnel
-
Hi All,
I have a dual WAN setup on my VPN. I have 2 accounts from the same provider to get a bigger pipe. I know it's not aggregated bandwidth but it helps.
The issue I now have is the that the quality of the routing isnt always the best from the ISP so I want to pipe it through my VPS.
Basic Picture below:
–- WAN 1 ---
/
My PC -> PFSense -- --- Internet connection --- My VPS (OpenVPN or Proxy or whatever) ---> Internet
\ /
--- WAN 2 ---What should I install on the VPS (linux can be debian/CentOS/etc) to make this work.
I tried installing openVPN on the VPS and on my PC but it doesnt pipe ALL traffic from my PC and I also want other PCs to use that setup without having to install openvpn client on them.
Thanks

Not yet, at least not with pfSense. I got it working just fine using another router OS… still would go back to pfSense in an instant if they decided to add this feature.

Striker have you been doing VPN bonding with ZS for a long time? How has is worked for you?

I've been doing it for like a week or so. In comparison to load balancing bandwidth gets reduced by round about 15%, which is because of OpenVPN's overhead I assume… :-
But apart from that, everything works out pretty well. Websites which require log-ins and check for the IP addresses used to log me out automatically while using simple load balancing. Yeah, I don't have that problem anymore.
