Dansguardian service fails to start

Fresh install. Getting this error in the sys logs

Check and save all dansguardian config tabs first, then try to restart it.

Tried that. Even did a clean pfSense install and clicked save on all tabs.

Now it shows

I am on vmware amd64

Bad alloc means problems between pcre lib version 8.3 a dansguardian.

Do you have other packages installed?

Yes, Squid, Snort, HAVP.

Snort updates pcre to 8.3, few days ago somebody posted a workaround(remove pcre 8.3 and reinstall dansguardian) for it.
