    I upgrade from 1.0.1-SNAPSHOT-02-27-2007 to 1.0.1-SNAPSHOT-03-18-2007 (I think that should be 03-08-2007  ;) ).
During the boot I receive this error message:

Syncing packages: XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1

And now web interface in not running (returning a blank page) and I can't see the serial console (it stops at "Bootup complete"). SSH is running normally.

What I can do to repair the system without reinstalling all?

    Thanks!

I just tried the same upgrade.  The box never rebooted when finished.  In the logs I just have a bunch of UpgradeFlags messages.

Yes, sorry about that.  This "month of php bugs" is really making everyone scramble.

3/08/07 image SHOULD be okay, I just updated all my vms and production machines.

Just upgrade to the leatest snapshot:

          • Now the web interface work correctly

          • Duing the boot, I can read via serial console these last line:

            .......
            Starting OpenNTP time client...done.
            Starting CRON... done.
Syncing packages: XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1
            Executing rc.d items...
             Starting /usr/local/etc/rc.d/*.sh...done.
            Bootup complete

            I'm upgrading from 1.0.1-SNAPSHOT-02-27-2007 to 1.0.1-SNAPSHOT-03-18-2007.

I can get into the pfSense GUI fine but it is coming up as the 29th October 2006 version. It is also giving me a warning saying it couldn't load the config files as they are from a newer version of pfSense.

            What could be causing this?

Unfortunately you probably need to restore a config.xml backup prior to the 03/28/07 image.

I restored an old config file and now all run ok!
                        Perfect!

                        Thank you!!
