New instalation PFSENSE 2.0.2

Hi everyone, Im trying to install last version of pfsense 2.0.2 on a HP Proliant ML110 G7.

everything goes fine until it try to mount de ISO CD to run the installer, I get a prompt: mountroot

Could anyone help me with this please?

Hmm, shouldn't you just boot from the Live ISO CD before you can start installer. A mount shouldn't be necessary at all. Or did I get your issue completely wrong.

It boots from live CD, starts to check periferics and other things, but then I get this message before the installer can run:

"trying to mount root from: cd9660:/dev/iso9660/PfSense
ROOT MOUNT ERROR: if you have invalid mount opions, reboot, and first try the following from the loader prompt:
set vfs.root.mountfrom.options=rw

and then remove invalid mount options from /etc/fstab
Loader variables:

Manual root filesystem specification:
<fstype>: <device>Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg: ufs:/dev/da0s1a
eg: cd9660:/dev/acd0
This is equivalent to: mount -t cd9660 /dev/acd0 /

You should try the usb option from the boot menu. It adds the kerncam delay that some drives (usually usb) need so that pfSense doesn't try to mount them before they are ready.
You could also try changing the SATA setting in the bios if one exists.

I try to boot from memstick and it was sucessfull, but now I have another issue, Pfsense does not recognize array controller from HP Proliant ml110 G7. When I try to install to HD, it only show me my pendrive and nothing else..

It could be a compatibilty problem?can anyone help me please?!!

The B110i raid controller HP have in that box appears to be nothing more than a rebranded Intel ICH10R. That should be supported by the ataraid(4) driver.
You could try loading the appropriate kernel module. E.g. for 32bit: http://files.pfsense.org/jimp/ko-8.1/i386/ataraid.ko

Jim also has 64bit modules available there.

Alternatively you could disable the raid features on the chipset in the BIOS, set it to AHCI instead, and the drive(s) should be recognised.

I d like to try loading kernel module yhay you mention..
How can I load a kernel module? I never try it.
I already download ataraid.ko file

Well I confess I've never had to do this either, at least not at install time. ;)

The procedure is described in this thread: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,37829.0.html

You have to get the kernel module onto the install media though so perhaps using the USB stick will be easiest.

are you sure that The B110i raid controller HP is supported by PFSense 2.0.2 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p13? people from another forum say that is not supported..

Nope I'm not sure. I was basing that on reports on the FreeBSD forum that it is a rebranded version on Intels Raid Matrix technology that is in it's ICHR chipsets. This is referred to as 'fake raid', it's not a real hardware raid controller.
If it's not that then I've no idea.
Try turning off raid in the bios. Do you really need raid?

I would like but it is not necessary .. I'll try that at least recognize the hard drive to install PFsense .
