        You want to change the name of
        pfsense with other brands.

                  You cannot just change the platform name without knowing what you are doing. The name is important for the configuration of the system.

                    The platform is not the branded name of the system.

                    If you need help with rebranding, your best option is to purchase a reseller subscription (https://portal.pfsense.org/index.php/reseller-subscription) and have us handle the rebranding process for you.

                      Thank you Jimp…But i don't want to rebrand pfsense...i just want to platform file under the /etc/platform .... when i change it, pfsense does not work!!!
                      how to i can change this file without problem?

                        You cannot. The platform file needs the exact words it has. It can only be pfSense, nanobsd, livecd, and so on.

                        That does not control the name of the system as displayed on the GUI, console, etc. There is another place to set that. Leave the platform file alone. It is for internal use only.
