Yeah so it works with Beta, rather well.  I put it in the IstarUSA value D case, but the I/O shield is a no go.. :( other than that, good board.  Still putting it through its paces to see if it does well.  Love 4 GB on board.

This board seems to tick all the boxes.
          4 X Gigabit on board
          Serial console connection
          Bootable CF slot
          On board DC-DC PSU.

I'm not sure how you could improve on that. (6X Intel Gb NICs?  ;))

How to improve it? Put a real CPU on it for starters :D

What power supply are people using with this board?  I get that it's a 12V DC input, but the Jetway specs say nothing about the current draw.

Hmm, curious that they don't mention a power rating.  :-
However you can safely assume it won't ever draw more than, say, 48W so you'd be good with a 4A power brick. In reality you could probably use a far smaller brick but I would want to test it first to be sure.

Ha. Well it's horses for courses here. It's perfect for most SOHO scenarios though.
I did think of one thing that would improve it and that's a wide input on the power supply. That way you could use any laptop power brick.

cmb: Where do we get the 2.1 version? I do not see it on the mirrors. More important, when will it be released as stable?

                  How about this hardware: KINO-PV-D4253?
                  Will this work with pfsense?

Check the 2.1 Snapshot Feedback and Problems -forum for download link. I think the most issues left are with captive portal and possibly some ipv6 related stuff.

Would probably work fine but do you really need 5 serial ports?

5 serial ports would be overkill. I guess I'll hold off on a new hardware purchase for a while.

I did a build with the 2.1 beta on this motherboard, and had no problem booting from USB and the CF card with a 2GB card and the appropriate image.
