I've been trying to set up ipv6 through a HE tunnel for the past day or so, and i seem to have everything working except the DHCP server.

Checking the system logs, i see this messagephp: /services_dhcpv6.php: The command '/usr/bin/killall 'dhcpd -6'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'No matching processes were found'followed bydhcpleases: Could not deliver signal HUP to process because its pidfile does not exist, No such process.and```
php: /services_dhcpv6.php: The command '/usr/local/sbin/dhcpd -6 -user dhcpd -group _dhcp -chroot /var/dhcpd -cf /etc/dhcpdv6.conf -pf /var/run/dhcpdv6.pid em0' returned exit code '139', the output was 'Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Server 4.2.4-P2 Copyright 2004-2012 Internet Systems Consortium. All rights reserved. For info, please visit https://www.isc.org/software/dhcp/'

In the dhcp logs, i get the output of the error above (the copyright messages) in addition to the regular (ipv4) dhcp lease messages, which are working fine.

however, on my local network, my computers are getting ipv6 addresses, and they can connect to the ipv6 net…

an ipv6 /all on an internal machine shows the following

On the build of today 27/01/2013 and 26/01/2013 same issue on the build from 25/01/2013 no issues.

Can you show the contents of /var/dhcpd/etc/dhcpdv6.conf ?

I'm on a snap from yesterday evening and it's working fine for me.

Save a copy of /tmp/rules.debug from the Jan 25th snap and then upgrade and compare it to one from a current snap. It's possible something has made it start blocking the DHCPv6 traffic for you for some reason.

Sorry I could not respond faster.  Well for me that is not really an option because if I loose that Firewall then I loose my complete IPv6 network including some production part for which the firewall is the router between multiple /64 subnets.

So I did a downgrade the version of 25/01/2013 and all was solved while with the other 2 versions the error was the same as mentioned in the first message of this thread so no radv or dhcpv6 both exiting at startup.

Lucky a down grade works perfect so at least the interruption was solved before the next business day and people are able to work in a normal way.

OK, well then next time you get a chance, try it. If we don't get better info on how it broke, it will never get solved.
