I am running the current release of pfSense (pfSense-2.0.2-RELEASE-1g-amd64-nanobsd_vga-20121207-2239.img) on a Dell Inspiron 530S running some Pentium Dual-Core CPU with 4gb of memory and get a kernel panic on start up. The machine does not have a serial port.
      Thanks.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS on it.

If it does and it still panics, your best bet is probably to try 2.1 since it has a newer base OS and see if that behaves better.

Thanks for the reply. The machine does have the most recent bios installed. On the snapshot for Mar 4th it boots fine, thanks again
