Hamakua install of release 2.0.2 - special version?

I bought one of these hamakua devices little over a year ago. never got it installed, until I needed a new plant location brought up.
Started it up, got it working, the ports seem to be visable to the 123release that was on it. Not sure if I reflashed the CF when I got it.Anyway, I did upgrade the image to 2.0.2 via the admin LAN port with the current nanobsd image I use on all my other Alix devices.
Its working, but now I'm not sure exactly what the limitation is described in the link above.Should I be downloading the hamakua image and reflash? Or is what I have running (regular nanobsd 2.0.2 release) ok?

The Hamakua (and others like it) need a special bit flipped in the boot portion of the drive, so they do take a slightly special version (really just ~1 bit different than the base)
There are some netgate branded images that have this change performed already that you can use.

I read this earlier and was going to point the OP at the Netgate images but then realised that if you are upgrading Nano it will just switch slice. Since the boot slice does not change, and that's where the special 'bit' is, presumably it's still good? :-
That appears to be the case since the box is still booting.Steve

Yeah but if it is actually booting, there's no need to do anything different.
If you really need the special image, it will not boot at all without it.

Right, but what if you started out with the special image (I assume it is supplied as such) and then update with a standard nano file?

That works fine, it wouldn't stomp on the boot portion of the device.
