my problem is what is good setup here in my CACHE MANAGEMENT
my SPECS of PCIntel i3 2100 3.10GHz
Memory: 4GB
OS: Windows 7and using VMWARE 9.0

Not the way I would go, but should be doable with a big enough HDD assigned. 30GB with default settings ought to do. Question is why though. Windows 7 can cache itself with any of the browsers. This would not make sense for a home/office. If you put ESX and windows was only a VM along with pfsense, sure, that leans to a more secure setup and less prone to memory issues. Memory is relatively cheap now, I would add more.

so what is the GOOD setup here im use this for my only standalone PC here for i want to cache the youtube now..

YouTube will cache video on its own. But that way would work. Just don't know what ideal settings for squid. I would try trial and error method. I would think that most vids are between 50 and 200 MBs. Take 200MBs and multiply it by how many you would like to cache and and adjust your settings from there.

If you are trying to do this all on one machine I am sure there are better solutions out there. You are introducing a huge overhead by running vmware and pfSense as a VM inside it.
Why are you doing this?Steve
