512MB nano > 4GB nano
-
Hi All,
For some reason which escapes me, I set up a firewall with a 512MB nano image on a 8GB SSD. Now I've installed some packages there isn't enough room on the partition to auto-upgrade (have to do it with USB memstick from SSH).
Apart from backup of settings/RRD, re-flash, restore, is there another (read: easy) way to move to a bigger image?
Thanks

The 512MB nano image is for a 512MB memory card. If you write that to a 8GB SSD you will have about 7.5GB unused. You would have been better served using the 2GB or 4GB image, though the 1GB image might have been suitable for your package mix.

No.

I agree, and for the life of me can't remember why I used the 512MB image!!!
Thanks for the input
