Gmail is not opening for the first time, after two times refresh (F5) then only its opening for all the users.
Pls help me on this.
Thanks in advance.

Are you using OpenDNS?

First time refresh, it is going to this URL : https://mail.google.com/mail/?tab=wm PFA
Second time refresh, it is going to this URL : https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=https://mail.google.com/mail/?tab%3Dwm&scc=1<mpl=default<mplcache=2
Third time refresh, I am getting Gmail login page.
Under proxy only this issue, I checked with both Firefox 20 & IE 10 issue persists.
Admins / Developers / Experts, pls help me on this.
Thanks in advance.

So the issue is only present when your proxy is enabled? If so, we need a little more information about your proxy configuration. Maybe some screen shots.

I didn't configure anything in the proxy settings

It could be a DNS issue. There are two redirects and three URLs in that sequence. If it fails the first time, it could be due to a DNS timeout, and the same thing each subsequent time. That's why I asked if you were using OpenDNS, not that it was the problem, but it sounds very much like a DNS timeout.

We're missing a bunch of information…I have a hard time believing this is a firewall issue.
Are you using bookmarks? When you go to http://www.gmail.com what happens the first time?
What version of PFsense?
A network map would help. Is PFsense in a virtualized environment?
What packages are installed?
What DNS servers are you using? Is gmail.com resolving in a timely manner? Check your results against what 8.8.8.8 shows.
Do a tracert to gmail.com… any hops with unusually high ping times?
Please clarify what you meant by this-> "Under proxy only this issue, I checked with both Firefox 20 & IE 10 issue persists."….
Rule out local re-direct issues...do an anti-malware/spyware/virus scan.
Check the IP settings on your clients... make sure traffic is being routed where you think it is... and that you are using the DNS servers you think you are.
Issues with both Wired and wireless? Then do the usual....Clear cache and restart your browsers. Then double check that your browsers are not configured to use proxy.... I would even go as far as unchecking "Automatically detect settings" in IE and set Firefox to "No proxy".
I'm also curious to learn when PFsense was first installed, when the issue started happening and what has changed since then?

Thanks for your reply.
I am not using any bookmarks.
When I try gmail.com / mail.com, it is going to -> https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=http://mail.google.com/mail/&scc=1<mpl=default<mplcache=2 with an empty page after refresh only I will get Gmail login page.
Pfsense 2.0.3 latest version running on Hyper-V.
Dandguardian, Squid, SARG installed.
I am using 8.8.8.8 and my ISP DNS also
I checked with Firefox 20 & IE 10 browsers still same issue.
Now I just checked with transparent proxy, and I have forwarded port 80 to 8080 as per the following. Now its working fine.
Firewall>NAT
Port Forward tab click the + button
Interface: LAN
Protocol: TCP
Source: LAN subnet
Destination: any
Destination Port: HTTP to HTTP
Redirect IP: <the ip="" of="" your="" pfsense="" box="">(10.0.2.1 in my case)
Redirect Target Port: 8080Click Save and then Apply Changes
But I couldn't receive mails from the outlook, any port forwarding is required for that? if so, could you pls explain me.
Thanks in advance.</the>
