      Hi all,
is it possible to install the internet key Onda MDC655 on pfsense 2.03?
      at this page:
      http://www.ondacommunication.com/it/prodotti/o/53/MDC-655?id_cat=2
I found the driver for Linux Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu – Kernel da 2.6.22.x a 2.6.31.x

May I install this driver into FreeBsd?  ???

        No, FreeBSD is not Linux.

Maybe your chosen device is a rebadged variant of an already supported USB 3G modem.

Can you get one for evaluation?

          It's listed by usb_modeswitch: http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/bb/viewtopic.php?t=983
So it could be made to work with the some coding.
Do you have this already? What happens when you connect it? Any log entries?

          Steve

Hi all and thanks for replies.
When I connect that usb internet key nothing happens and the led remain off.
I dont'know if I'm able to reach a solution using modeswitch, so I'm searcing for a hsupa+ modem/router to connect to pfsense using the traditional rj45 plug, or a compliant hsupa+ internet key.

I found some solutions, but at this moment are out of budget  :'(

There are no new entries in the system log at all when you plug it in?

I need a working connection for the next week, so I just bought an huawei e372.

After that, only for knowledge purpose, I' d like to know if it is possible to use the onda mdc655 with pfsense.
Tomorrow, at work, I'll send you the log.
                Thanks in advance.
