Why are you still using the default password? The first time you log in to the webgui the wizard asks you to change it.
Try changing the password via the webgui and see if that allows you to log in.

It uses the root/admin password for the console login.

You're not the first person to say the console password didn't work for them, but every time I've tried it here, it always works, even with the default password.

Try changing the password in the GUI as stephenw10 suggested, even if you change it to something else and then back to pfsense, to see if it makes a difference.

Is the admin account disabled/expired in the GUI?
Have the permissions of the admin account been altered?

No, the account  hasn't been modified from the factory default configuration. i just add some "security" to the tty. The funny thing is that i can log ing via ssh and web with the password i did change on web.

Why would you edit the tty? Put it back to the original settings.

What you posted before implied that you manually edited /etc/ttys to change the tty. Checking the box is safe, manually editing the tty config is not.
