      Hi,

I have a pfSense 2.0 installed with 3 Interfaces Nic. The WAN and the LAN interfaces are used. LAN has DHCP Server, and DNS forwarding working ok.

Now my question is involving the Unused NIC is there a way I can use that and have a completly seperate ip address and have a different DHCP server settings.

So for example:    LAN DHCP: 192.168.0.100-192.168.0.150  OPT1 DHCP: 10.1.1.100-10.1.1.150

And still have the DNS forwarder work so it can resolve address from the 10.1.0/24 network.

      Thanks,

      Ward.

Just configure OPT1 with your desired parameters and enable it. You will also need to configure firewall rules on OPT1 to allow what ever access you want (e.g. block access to LAN network, allow access everywhere else). The default firewall rules on every interface (except LAN) is to block all access.
