I configured a VLAN on the LAN interface and I am now not able to login via the web browser (forgot web gui anti-lockout). Is there a way of enabling the browser access from the command line on the pFsense PC?

Thanks for the help gents, but none of the solutions will work. Prior to the VLAN setup, I was able to ping the LAN IP and access pfsense via a browser. Since enabling the VLAN I am unable to ping the IP or get in via a browser. I do have access to pFsense from the console. Looks as though I will have to reset to factory defaults.

              Thanks.

You can always disable the firewall (from the console) and get in via the WAN.
If you assigned LAN to a VLAN interface you may be able to configure your client machine be on that VLAN and get in that way.

Can you provide any more details of what you actually did? Assign pfSense LAN interface to VLAN?

Do you have VLAN capable equipment such as a VLAN capable switch?

Thanks to all. I reset pFsense to factory defaults and reconfigured the VLANs. All OK now. In answer to Wallabybob's question, yes all my switches are VLAN capable and configured.
