Gmail does work, because i use it. Possibly your authentication is not working or is wrong. Try and sign into Google first and use those details on the interface. Your know its configured because your receive a test email and the system log says message been sent.

        Kind Regards,
        Craig

Could possibly be your browser.. But not 100%. Try using Firefox and see what happens? IE can be a little flacky.

            Kind Regards,
            Craig

                      A stupid question:
What are the notifications used for?  Can I set this up to notify based on snort alerts, new openvpn connections, etc?  If so, where are the settings to configure the alerts? Thanks

Notifications are used for.. if a WAN connection was to go down if your in a multiwan setup. As far as i am aware. This is also a 3rd party package for emailing RRD graphs, and that package uses those details. So its good to have! I love that 3rd party package. Customers love seeing there data display like it.

                        Kind Regards,
                        Craig
