      Hi all,

      i have question …. i would like configure wifi AP from my pf-sense.

      uname -an

      FreeBSD xxx007 7.0-RELEASE-p8 FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p8 #0: Thu Jan  8 22:07:30 EST 2009    sullrich@freebsd7-releng_1_2_1.pfsense.org:/usr/obj.pfSense/usr/src/sys/pfSense.7  i386

      I try install ap-utils with commandline :

      # pkg_add -r http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-stable/All/ap-utils-1.4.1_4.tbz
      

      Fetching http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-stable/All/ap-utils-1.4.1_4.tbz… Done.

        A number of things stand out here.

        You are running an ancient version of pfSense, 1.2.1, which is based on FreeBSD 7.?. Before my time!

        You have tried to install packages from the current FreeBSD ftp site which is much newer.

        Do you have an access point that is actually supported by ap-utils?

            There doesn't appear to be an ap-utils package for FreeBSD 7.0 the closest I can see is for 7.1:
            http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/i386/7.1-RELEASE/packages/Latest/ap-utils.tbz

            You will probably have to remove all the dependencies that were installed but that might leave you with some missing.
