29.06.2013 06.16.07 php: : OpenVPN: One or more OpenVPN tunnel endpoints may have changed its IP. Reloading endpoints that may use GW_CABLE,OVPNC_ERBACH_VPNV4.
This message comes from rc.openvpn. It is receiving a comma-separated list of interfaces, but the code in rc.openvpn only expects/processes as if it can only be passed a single interface name at a time.
In this case, it will have tried to find an interface called "GW_CABLE,OVPNC_ERBACH_VPNV4" which does not exist. The code in rc.openvpn (and perhaps other places like the DynDNS update) will need to be enhanced to process a comma-separated list of interface names.
There is a later message which only has 1 interface name:29.06.2013 07.34.52 php: : OpenVPN: One or more OpenVPN tunnel endpoints may have changed its IP. Reloading endpoints that may use OVPNC_ERBACH_VPNV4.
That should have been correctly processed.
Is the OpenVPN in question on interface GW_CABLE? or on a gateway group? or?
How does a multi-interface event occur?
Maybe there are multiple WAN interfaces on VLANs that are all on the same physical interface, and thus an event on the physical interface will need to trigger processing on all the associated VLAN interfaces?
Let us know what is special/interesting/different so those cases can be handled and tested. -
I made the code in rc.openvpn loop through processing each element in the comma-separated argument. See: https://github.com/pfsense/pfsense/pull/681
If you can reproduce the issue, please put the new version in /etc/rc.openvpn and try it. -
Yes, it was a gateway group. The interfaces are not on VLANs.
I cann't reproduce it because it's a productive environment and the cable interface made problems. The strange thing was, that pfsense couldn't resolve the ip for the endpoint while this time. I think the cable interface had the default route and I didn't bind the DNS servers to an interface.
Now I enabled automatic changing the default route.
