          Thanks,

sorry for asking some probably simple questions to some, but i just cant understand how to monitor web traffic, i followed the link installed Squid, but i get ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved, when i try to access internet, so i had to untick transparent proxy to get it to work again?

and then read the following post to no avail. i am new to pfsense and do apologise for not understanding some of this stuff, please can someone tell me how i can get to minitor web traffic in a web browser or the like? am i missing another package for this?

What do you mean by "monitor traffic" exactly?
            Connections?
            Content?

On your pfSense page, click on System, then Packages and then Available packages. Scroll until the one you want and then click the Plus Sign to install it.
