I'm seeing this traffic continuously for only this host.

dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0

dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0
dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 192.168.1.61 to (MAC address) via em0

This host does have that address and the DHCP leases page shows this MAC with that IP.  Why is this traffic constantly going through?

I think you should look on the client system (with "MAC address") to see why it is apparently ignoring the DHCP OFFER. Perhaps it isn't seeing the offer, perhaps the offer is considered badly formatted, perhaps the lease time is "short" …

I too am experiencing this same issue. Only one client on my network is making both DHCPINFORM & DHCPACK events in the log about every 10 minutes. All of my settings though are defaulted and I'm running the latest build. I'll try to check the client machine like wallabybob suggested and will post my findings later.

Try using a different switch OR unplug/reset your switch and see what happens.
In the past when people had this issue, its been either a bad switch, switch port or switch needing a reset.

Well I rebooted my switch as I don't have access to another one and its still hammering my DHCP log.

Can you skip the switch and plug direct into your computer?  If this persists, its not the switch.

Unfortunately I can't skip the switch but I'm currently trying a different port.

I tried a different port and now it's back to every 10 minutes.

I think you have a bad port(s) or your switch is going bad.  (possibly)  Thats a guess.  Sure would be nice if you could test it with another switch.  You have static DHCPs mapped on your pfsense right?

Yes I do have static DHCPs mapped.

FWIW, these are those D-Link Green switches. I believe they do stuff with the power to each port in order to conserve energy. I'll look for another switch to test it out.
