    PFSense 2.03 Unable to communicate with www.pfsense.com

      In the packages GUI I get the error "Unable to communicate with www.pfsense.com"

      Dig Response on the CLI of the pfsense box  …

      • DNS forwarder is active and has custom hostnames for  the internal LAN

      • ONLY the WAN interface is active

      • NAT/Firewalling disabled

      What should I try next ??

        Assuming your routing is otherwise OK, if you have snort enabled, make sure it's not blocking that request. It's quite common for snort + blocking + HTTP preprocessors to block the package XML for one reason or another.
