PfSense and Huawei E3276 - 4G
-
I am intending to buy and Huawei E3276 (4G) usb dongle but since it is not listed in the compatibility list (http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Known_Working_3G-4G_Modems) I would like to know if someone has some experience with it.

Still same problem with latest 2.1 stable version.
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 AT^NDISDUP=1,1,"internet"
seems to be what is needed instead (if APN is "internet") to connect the umts/gsm side.
Same modem works on Ubuntu 13.10 (once enabled like this: AT^SETPORT="A1,A2;10,12,13,16"
and unplugged/replugged).Anyone succeeded making Huawei E3276 4G USB stick work with pfsense ?

I am also looking to purchase the Huawei E3276 4G USB stick to install with pfsense. Has anyone got this device working yet?
Thanks

Any ideas why the At command is failing?

So i've decided to do a bit of poking around. Using ppp i am able to send commands to the modem (/dev/cuaU1 worked for me). Things like AT, ATZ worked fine. Checking the logs of pfsense after changing my ppp config to use /dev/cuaU1 in the logs pfsense was failing at AT&F&C1&D2E0S0=0M1. I found that running this manually and removing the S0=0 string it worked. After this i wasn't able to do anything further.

You mean that after using a slightly different modem init script you were able to use it to connect? Can you not just enter that as a custom init script?
