    Hi all,

    I have a working pfSense box connected to internet through a brdged ADSL modem.

    I have plugged to it a Huawei E367-U2 3G dongle (The dongle is tested on my Ubuntu box and is working).
    I have performed the following steps :

    1. Go to Interface -> Assign
    2. PPPs tab and added a new PPP connection
    3. Link Type : PPP
    4. In Link Interfaces appears 2 entries : /dev/cua0.0 and /dev/cua0.3  ( have tried both of them)
    5. Then filled APN and Phone number as provider specifies

    Then I connected the interface from the Status -> Interfaces menu. The PPP connection appears to establish fine the WAN gets an IP address, DNS hosts also are assigned by the provider.

    I have setup this new WAN interface as default gateway in the Routing menu. But unfortunately when trying to navigate from my laptop connected to the pfSense box, there is no traffic.

    Is there something I am missing ?

    Thanks

      Hi

      @nacef what is your Gateway?

      I experience the same with a E392. I have IP, DNS but the gateway is 10.64.64.0, and this is wrong. If i put and Static IP gateway, i get an error "The gateway address 193.126.142.217 does not lie within one of the chosen interface's subnets.".

      I'm stuck here.

      pfSense:
      ASRock -> Wolfdale1333-D667 (2GB TeamElite Ram)
      Marvell 88SA8040 Sata to CF(Sandisk 4GB) Controller
      NIC's: RTL8100E (Internal ) and Intel® PRO/1000 PT Dual (Intel 82571GB)

          Hi

          @sgo

          The Ip 10.64.64.0 or 10.64.64.1 is kinda a bridge. To monitor the gateway (and solve the trafic problem) i put in  "System->Routing->(e - edit 3g gateway ) -> Monitor IP (ex. 8.8.4.4 ).

          The gateway use the DNS google ip (you can use another pingable IP) to monitor the stat of the interface. I prefere have my main(ISP) getaway but, better this than nothing. With the monitor with green color pfsense chose the interface to pass traffic.

          Cya

          pfSense:
