      hi,

i have a pfsense installed with 2 nics. 1 public and the other private with the 192.168.1.0/24 block. from my pfsense box i could ping for example 8.8.8.8 so i know that the packet goes out to the internet. What i want is for my internal network (192.168.1.0/24)  to surf the internet. I have already changed the gateway of my internal network to the pfsense ip which is 192.168.1.254. I have been googling for some time but i was not able to get it going. Can someone help?

      thanks,
      mon

If you can ping the internet by IP but not surf, I suspect your DNS under general settings is not set up.

          hi,

thank you for the reply. What i meant with the ping was from my pfsense box. But from my internal network i could not ping and surf.  What i did from my computer inside the internal network was set the gateway 192.168.1.254 (pfsense box) and dns 8.8.8.8.

          thanks,
          mon

If you can post your LAN firewall rule and your gateway status, that will help.

You need to create a rule on the firewall lan tab to allow any protocol from source LAN subnet to destination any for any protocol.
