Here is the download links that should work just fine.  Maybe you will finish the install before 2.1 release is put up?

      Its a race….

It just means you can download the last snapshot that was built 20130908-1958 before the snapshot builder runs were stopped. Handy if you really need to update an older 2.1-RCn system and just can't wait for 2.1-RELEASE to appear on the mirrors. There are a couple of minor extra bug fixes on 2.1 branch in Github since that 8 Sep snapshot.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

              Yea, what he said. :-)

I am new to pfsense but have been beta testing 2.1 since RC0. I do not understand why the update site goes down for many days before the release. So am I understanding the only way to run the latest Beta is to download the Live CD from Sept. 9, 2013 and do a fresh install? if so is there a way to save my settings onto a USB? I know I should know how to do that … but I am still going to put it out here. Thank you all. I have enjoyed seeing pfsense grow just since RC0.

Why? You got the update links just a couple of posts above… download from there and use the manual FW update if you cannot wait a couple of days.

When I use those links for the updates I either only get a 2mb file that is corrupt or an error from HAVP

Also, the version I have crashed on me so I would rather have the freshest version so if it crashed it could be useful .

OK, I unplugged from the pfsense router and plugged into my old dlink and am getting the update image as you suggested. I am sorry I did not try that before. I never had pfsense block pfsense before. No Bias in that program I see. :-) Thank you for your help doktornotor

You might want to turn off heuristics in ClamAV altogether, or even get rid of HAVP altogether. "Clamd: Heuristics.Broken.Executable" obviously ain't pfSense issue.

There are a few packages that seem to hurt more than they help, but listing them seems to get me hate mail…
