Where do you see that?
bottom right hand corner where the graphics line meets the copyright footer. Like he said, no biggie just an anomaly.

I am having a hard time finding this joke funny :?

I'm being as jovial as I can be on the issue. From what I can tell the "OMG Widescreen is broken" message has been received by everyone. For me, its not a show stopper since I never liked the old package one little bit. But if someone had one available that didn't break things half the time, I'd load it in a heart beat myself. It always made my system flakey in the past.
From what I can tell, even having upgraded with the widescreen package in place and then removing it continues to break things in the web gui.

There is a widescreen theme already checked in for 2.2, but it required too many other changes to be in 2.1.x
For a quick hack, this patch can be used for now:

Hmmmm… If that works I bet you will get many virtual thank-you(s)
-
Thanks Jim!
What does it do and how do we run it?
Excuse for beeing a noob :D

It's not my code it was from someone else here on the forum. Install the system patches package and add it in there.
-
At least looks a whole LOT less intrusive than the WS "package" - and a snap to revert as well ;) 8)
-
Frankly.. not sure what is all the hype about this package not being present on 2.1. Is browsing the landing page down that time consuming ????
-
Could someone please post a screen capture of what this patch looks like?
Is it simple to add / revert - using the system patch manager?
Sorry for (perhaps?) stupid questions :)
TIA
-
Yes, very easy to revert… It looks... Uhm. WIDE. :D
-
Thanks!
I will try over the week end. -
Well, the good news is that installing the patches package, then installing this patch was very simple.
The bad news is that I cannot see any difference? Having installed the patch - I have applied - no error messages, all seems to work, but as far as I can see the appearance is identical?
I have tried on both Firefox and IE10, but everything looks the same.
Have tried apply, revert and even removed and reinstalled - nothing seems to change.
Am I missing something or is the difference so subtle that I didn't notice?

You need to wipe browser cache and restart the browser. Otherwise you have the CSS cached.
