Ok - I suggest you turn off the :  2 HTT threads

This is on straight hardware?  No Virtual machines involved?

        Just board Mini-ITX systems.

With the 2.0 all are ok but with the new 2.1.

I try tomorow to disable muti thread or virtual setup if is on.

        Regards

            Hi,

I have a big trouble with the new version

With i single test i have this result

With a multi download like newgroup i have this result or see attachement

I don't see where i can resolve this problem. My line is 50/2mb

If some people can help me.

Not sure anything is wrong, your newsgroup tests show you are getting 10% over your connections advertised speed.  For the single threaded speed test your upload is bang on, but download is off.  It could be something with the speedtest site itself.  Can you try downloading a large ISO via FTP or something for a known site?

Just going to suggest this as I once ran into it. I spent a long time investigating it and it turned out to be a problem with the client machine running the speedtest.net test client.

You can test the speed directly at the pfSense box by downloading a known good test file:

                  [root@pfsense.fire.box]/root(2): fetch -o /dev/null http://download.thinkbroadband.com/50MB.zip
                  /dev/null                                     100% of   50 MB 1961 kBps 00m00s

Thinkbroadband is probably not suitably located for you in Geneva.

                  Steve

Anybody noticed that one result is in Mb/s and the other one is MB/s….

                    HUGE difference!

The speedtest.net shows 16.5Mbps. The pfSense traffic graph shows 54Mbps.

                        hello,

Speedtest and Pfsense are the same result, if you are ~50mb line in pfsense you see ~50mb . In my reader is just explain in ~6mb/s for~50mb.

I check all my hardware. Is difficult in my house.

i have  many switch, 4 switch,  4 room, on poweline networking, snort…. and many. I like this staff.

My hp like Procure is very "poor man", "gros feignant" in french.

he is not able, if we do not like to stress the newsgroup, mounted to 50mb and as it is the last link, everything is so slow. Tomorrow I'll buy a real switch. And I tell you the result.

With a PC directly to the modem or the router I have 50mb / s but through the switch I only ~ 12mb.

Sorry for everything and thanks for your help.

I had another one in the living room and I exchange switches. And it's better.

                        @ +

                        Jean-Noël

PS: I do not understand why when I stress it reaches 50mb / s :)](http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2980642015)
