[NOT POSSIBLE] 2.1 Manual package installation (with no Internet connection)
-
Hi all,
I need to install few packages on pfsense box with no Internet connection. I have downloaded the packages needed (openospfd-4.6 and it's dependency libevent-1.4.14b_2) on local web server, then issued
pkg_add http://192.168.0.10/libevent-1.4.14b_2.tbz
pkg_add http://192.168.0.10/openospfd-4.6.tbzBoth installed with no errors, but the package is not available in the web interface…
What else I have to do or what I'm doing wrong?
-
I going to guess you downloaded these packages from the freebsd archive site and if that is the case they won't have a web page as they were not built for PFSense.
-
Nope.
Downloaded from here http://files.pfsense.org/packages/8/All/ -
Well…
At least any chance to have packages installed via proxy? Looks like that doesn't work. -
Instead of downloading packages separately, why dont you connect the pfSense to the internet just once.. install the packages to your heart's content and then move it back internally? If will save you a lot of time..
-
Yeah… that's what I've did...
Though the other way looked much simpler. C'est la vie.
