      Hey Guys

Minimum flash size for Nano is 512MB so you'd need to boot from USB perhaps.

Works with other HP thin clients. E.g.

        What are the other specs?

        Steve

well I got it off of ebay and they said it post to be :
HP Thin Client t5145 Terminal HSTNC-004-TC VIA 1.0GHz/1GB/2GB Flash  But only thing I really see is 500Mhz 512MB So-Dim memory and 128mb flash when I opened it earlier today when I got it.

So I am going to add upto 1GB so-dim memory and bigger flash.

For the record, people are now struggling to have enough space on the slices on a 512MB flash card to do an in-place upgrade to 2.1-RELEASE.
Obviously nowadays you would be unlikely to buy a 512MB card new anyway, but for those who have old ones lying about, it is not a long-term bet to put them in a pfSense nanoBSD system.

It will run all those things but the real question is how fast?  ;)

                What is your WAN speed/bandwidth?

Does it have a VIA CPU that supports padlock? That will speed up OpenVPN considerably.

                Steve

7Mbps will be no problem even for all encrypted traffic.

The number of clients is not really as important as the bandwidth of the encrypted traffic. Obviously there is some overhead to having, say, 14 clients at 512Kbps each as opposed to one at 7Mbps but I wouldn't have thought it will be a problem with such a low bandwidth WAN. There is also a RAM requirement but 512MB should be fine and can be upgraded anyway. Your box is very similar to the Alix board used in many products running pfSense, I would expect it to have similar performance. http://store.netgate.com/Netgate-m1n1wall-2D3-2D13-Black-P216C83.aspx
