Hi!  I'm a complete newbie in PFSense.  Using version 2.01.  Hope I get myself clear, since I live in Mexico and English isn't my mother tongue.

Im using 3 network cards, one connected to the LAN and the other 2 (WAN and OPT) are connected to fiber-optic modems via PPPoE, connected to the same company (TELMEX/Prodigy)

Now, when the modems/interfaces connect, they both get assigned the same gateway, since both of them connect to the same ISP.

Is there a way to balance load between those interfaces if they both use the same gateway?  Or what can I do?

    Thanks!

If both use the same Gateway there is no possibility to use LoadBalancing.

What you can do is to connect another router between OPT and pfsense. Then the Gateway for WAN is your ISP and the Gateway for OPT1 is your second router (which connects to your ISP). There is no way around at the moment as far as I know.

In 2.0.1 it is doable, IIRC  you just need to change your GW monitor IPs

» Added patch to mpd to allow multiple PPPoE connections with the same remote gateway

As far as I know this is to establish multiple PPPoE connections but it has nothing to do with Multi-WAN/LoadBalancing.

Just done some quick tests and "seems to work" (sadly i can't test during longer time or with more traffic).

Test done, using 2 PPPoE 1mbps/512kbps connections from same provider (both using same GW)

Sorry, i forgot to add the "GW groups" & LAN rules" Screenshot
