      Hello,
After sometime I now have “2.0.1-RELEASE (i386) built on Mon Dec 12 19:00:03 EST 2011 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p6” install on “ALIX 2D13” working to create a PPPoE connection to “t-online.de”.

Even though I have set the timeout to “0”. The connections is often dropped. Most of the time it reconnects OK.
But the last 3 days (it has only been working that long) during the day when there is no traffic the connection drops and only a reboot is able to get a new connection.

I have been reading lots on these forums and on the internet suggestions about what to do. It seems that the answer is that it just an issue in 2.0.1 and there is no solution. Thread are closed.

Some of the pages I have read:

      http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/1431

Is there anyway to get this that I dont have to reboot pfSense everyday? At the moment I have created a script on my pc the pings every minute which I hope may help, but I really hope there is a better solutuion.

      Thanks for your suggestions?

      Iain
