      Hey guys,

      I'm running pfsense 2.0.1 i386 for about a month and I've been very happy with it. Last night I tried to install Squid and the install/download of it froze up my router and I had to hard reboot it.

      Upon reboot where is starts up packages I see Squid listed. When I get to the webGUI of Pfsense I do NOT see the Proxy server and all computers behind the router are unable to connect to the internet as well as the Package Manager. It seems that something is blocking the connection and that Squid has a corrupted install.

      How do I go about completely removing Squid manually?

      Thank you in advance,
      Mike

        Try to reinstall squid package from SYSTEM -> Packages

        If this does not work got to

        /usr/local/pkg/

        and delete the squid* files. .inc and .xml

        Take a look at system log about what it is telling about squid.

        Diagnostics -> BAckup/Restore:
        Clear package lock
        reinstall all packages
