I've enabled squid 3 with a transparent proxy. all seems to be working fine.
However, the minute I enable https reverse proxy, I can't access the internet from within the private lans.
Disable the https proxy and I can access the internet. Any ideas on this one?

Transparent proxy does not filter or block https. Can you check your config?

where do i start? i haven't enabled anything special on it. i was just playing about to look at the options to see if they suited us.

one strange thing i did see the other day was prior to installing squid 3, i had squid-reverse installed. i uninstalled that but for some reason it doesn't show as an available package now.

i also get a lot of "the requested url could not be retrieved messages"
i then go back in the browser and then forward and i get to the url.
i might just reinstall the lot to see if that improves it.

squid-reverse and squid3 is now merged.

Try to use squid without transparent mode.
