(TDR) Cable diagnostics support via PFsense machine

Hi everyone,
We have couple Cisco managed switches here that have the option to run a cable test from the switch itself. I personally find it very useful for troubleshooting and would like to know if this is something that can be integrated into pfSense down the road, or if someone knows if this is something any NIC card is capable or if it required additional hardware?

I have seen desktop NICs that can do this but not all of them.  So I think it comes down to hardware support then drivers that can use it.
