I have a new board from PCengenius. The SD card that it is using for the firmware is running on a USB port. When the board boots up it sees the card and the first part of freebsd boots ok but when it tries to find the root drive to boot pfsense it fails. The only way to get it to boot is to stop the boot process at the start and issue this command. set kern.cam.boot_delay=10000  Then boot and it will boot up ok. I found a reference about adding this line to /boot/loader.conf.local.  I build a custom image for my deployment and am wondering how or where I can add this line before I build my image. Any help is much apprenticed.

You have to use the MEMSTICK-SERIAL image on a usb memstick and boot from it, then install pfsense on mSATA or SD if you want.
