      Hi guys,

im after a SOHO Router, im looking at this one to be specific  -

      http://www.billion.uk.com/product/wireless/7800dxl.htm

i know this Router has ip static routes so i can route to other VLANS hooked up to my switch, will this Router have firewall rules so i can add all the VLANS  so there allowed access to the internet and vica versa?

if this cant do it, can anyone name me another wireless router that can?

      many thanks

      rob

Yeah, still doesn't make any sense as to why you're posting here.

If pfSense does what you need why are you looking for alternatives?

              I can break anything.

as pfsense i need to install it on a mid size pc and it will be loud and ugly and my parents dont really want it in the living room where my internet comes in so i thought in getting a wireless router like one of the SOHO routers that have got the same capabilitys as pfsense, well really i just want the same firewall access rule capabilitys

i have got one of these to install pfsense on but its still pretty loud -

Yes, still makes absolutely zero sense why you posted here, if you want details on some router, I'd move to the manufacturer support forum. On another note, this "loud and ugly" box produces exactly 0dB of noise.

Check the MikroTik routerboards or the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter

                      PS.  I'm still prefer pfSense !  ;D
