I am having trouble to get pfblocker work with squid/squidguard. I have installed a "floating rule" and checked all various options, but nothing seems to work. The table itself does have all the entries (Diagnostic->Tables->pfBlocker…). I am not sure whether the combination pfblocker/squid/squidguard is supposed to run at all.

If I do not use squid/squidguard and let pfblocker install the rule sets for the appropriate interfaces, then everything works as expected.

      Versions:
      pfBlocker 1.02
      squid3 3.1.20 pkg 2.0.6
      squidGuard-squid3 1.4_4 pkg v.1.9.5

!!! This is now obsolete---I pasted something into the wrong place.

There should be no need to create a floating rule. You tell the application which are the inbound and outbound interfaces and then on the list setup define the list action from the drop down. The rules get created according to your choices.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

I came across this post regarding pfblocker, squid, and floating rules. https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=44479.0 It's from 2011 so not too sure if its still relevant.
