AP status in pfsense

I'm not really sure what you're asking.
You want to know what the status of nearby wifi access points is? Via wifi or connected via ethernet?
If you have a wifi card in pfSense you can use Status: Wireless: to scan for local access points.Steve

Thank you for your answer.
I have 12 wifi access point which connect with pfsense via a swich. is it there's a possibilty that I may know if a wireless access bridge does not work from pfSense directly.

Well it depends how you define 'works'. ;) If you mean simply hasn't crashed and is still responding to pings then, yes, you can ping the APs from pfSense. You could write a small script to do that. pfSense actually has a tool built in to do it, apinger, but it is setup to only monitor the systems gateways. You could add each AP as a gateway and as long as the real WAN gateway was set as default routing should still work but that's a horrible hack. Also you would probably break load-balancing or fail over if you use it.

Well, you could create bogus GWs. Frankly, with the source being unavailable, the thing reporting inexplicable "packet loss" when in fact there is none etc., I would not recommend anything like this.
@OP: Get back to the APs vendor about some centralized monitoring, also, there's SNMP and whatnot, again depends on particular HW model.
