Just wanted to say thanks to all involved in resolving the heartbleed/OpenSSL issues of the last few days. I've been watching the various bugs on Redmine and seeing what looks like the results of a lot of hard work going on in the background :)

So thanks again! Hope this reaches the right peeps - I didn't want to clutter up redmine or the various groups where actual work is being done :)

I don't think this is said enough to the pfSense team.  I spent years looking for a router setup that would do exactly what I want and their work resolved every single one of my problems.  Keep up the great work and know that we all appreciate everything you do for the community!  :D

I second this wholeheartly (is that correct English  :o I apologize in advance with the excuse of being Dutch: education has been abandoned 40 years ago in our country  ;D ;D ;D).

And I might add: it is not only the pfSense team, the FreeBSD team and the generous package developers that make this such a marvelous environment. It is also and not quite unimportant all the great members in here, many of them true experts, who so unselfish devote their time to helping people. Time after time after time. Noob after noob after noob (I'm a noob  ;D).

I have donated some money to the cause and your post reminds me to donate again. I wish there was another button to donate to the great forum people who help people.

The funny thing is: one of the greatest men on this forum keeps on refusing me buying him a cup of coffee, even 'though he has helped me so so so many times. I keep on asking for his paypal, and he keeps on ignoring that  ;D ;D ;D

In the end I guess this is the true FreeBSD spirit: people help each other. I recall diving into Linux early '90's, and these communities are not what the FreeBSD communities are. Over at the FreeBSD forum, when I was experimenting with FreeBSD 5.x, people also were very helpful. Over at the SuSe forum back in the late '90's I only got bad mouthing and insulting.

Well, I'm off, looking in my wallet for a new donation  :P

6 and a half billion people know that they are stupid, agressive, lower life forms.
